Mission
Can Do! Education Foundation is a community-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID 68-0298033) and the official fundraising partner of the Miller Creek School District. We work in partnership with families, local businesses, and community members to bridge the gap between state and local government funding and the true cost of providing all students across our four district schools with a well-rounded, enriched education.

Bridging the Gap in School Funding
Can Do! raises funds generously contributed by families, local businesses, and community members to help bridge the gap between public funding and the true cost of educating every student in the Miller Creek School District.
While Can Do!’s contribution to MCSD represents only about 2% of the district’s overall budget, it plays a crucial role in supporting programs and services that benefit all students across the district’s four schools.
Each year, Can Do! commits funds based on priorities identified by District Administrative Staff. Funds are distributed in multiple installments throughout the school year and disbursed to the district according to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreed upon in May prior to the school year. Additional funding outside the MOU’s scope is allocated directly to fund garden programs at Lucas Valley Elementary, Mary E. Silveira Elementary, Valecito Elementary, and Miller Creek Middle School.
Can Do! raises funds through generous donations, community events, partnerships, and support from local businesses. A majority of our funding comes from family giving campaign contributions.
