 Becca Baird, Director

Becca joined the Can Do! Board in 2015.   She and her husband Eric have two children, Madeline, an 8th grader and Bennet, a 6th grader.   Becca has been an active volunteer with Can Do! and is co-Chair of the Family Giving Campaign at Miller Creek.


 Marie Barnes, Director

Marie was born in San Francisco and is fluent in Spanish.  She received her Bachelors degree from Sonoma State University in Political Science and Psychology and received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University, Thomas Cooley Law School.  Currently Marie resides in Marin with her three boys, two of them attending Lucas Valley Elementary.  In her spare time she volunteers for various organizations that provide legal services to the community. 


Angela Colombo Heckler, Director

Angela joined the Can Do! Board in 2016 when her daughter, who is now entering 3rd grad, was in TK. She and her husband also have a son entering kindergarten this year. Angela was born and raised in Marin County and is a Miller Creek School District alumni. She is thrilled to be giving back to the district she grew up in and excited to see her kids go through the same great schools. After receiving a BFA from University of CA at Santa Barbara, Angela moved back to the Bay Area. She has spent the bulk of her career in corporate philanthropy and raising funds for nonprofits in the North Bay. She is currently the Community Engagement & Event Manger at Bank of Marin.

Paula Duncan/Ocker, Director

I am a true Brit - you might notice my accent. I was born in England and have lived in California for 17 years. San Francisco was wonderful for the first 8 then Marin called out hearts and to this School District. We are a blended family with two Frist Graders and two 5th Graders at Vallecito. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Art. I have worked as a Teacher for over 20 years on and off, from age 2- 12 years of age. Throughout my early career I participated in many fundraising activities and local volunteer agencies.  I had the Director position of my own company , dealing with the business and financial matters, in San Francisco working on interiors both residential and office spaces. I love the Art World in all its forms and understand how important it is for us all to thrive in what we love to do and create in whatever field suits us.

I currently work full time at the JCC Preschools in San Rafael and Tiburon as the Art Teacher. I create Art Shows and fundraisers for the PA and assist with developing the planning of events. I am delighted to join the Can Do! Foundation to support our schools and community. I’m excited about what the year holds and how we can work together and give back to the District.

Jamie Foley, Director

Jamie and her husband Matt have two daughters in the district. Active in each of their classes as a room parent each year, Jamie is excited to join the board as a Vallecito representative. Jamie was born and raised in Marin County and is a Miller Creek District alumni.  She loves having her family in the same community and activities she was involved in as a child! Jamie attended UC Davis, earning a BS in Exercise Psychology, but for over the past 20 years has been involved in Corporate Event Planning. Starting first for two years with the San Francisco Giants, two more seasons with the Vacaville Steelheads and now almost 15 years with Enterprise Events Group, a local Corporate Event Planning company.

 


 Jennifer Imbimbo, Director

Jennifer (Enos) Imbimbo is the Director of Media and Community Relations at Sonoma Raceway. Since 2006, she has worked extensively with local, regional and national media, promoting major motor racing events at the raceway. In the off-season, Jennifer oversees many Sonoma Raceway community events including the Sonoma Raceway Food Drive, Blood Drive, Toy Drive and Children’s Christmas Party.  Jennifer is also a member of Speedway Children’s Charities Board of Trustees and on the Conservation Corps North Bay Advisory Board. Jennifer grew up in San Rafael and is a graduate of UCLA (B.A.) and University of Pacific (M.A.). She currently resides with her husband, John, and two kids in Terra Linda, and coaches her daughter’s basketball team and son’s little league team. 


 Jennifer Ishii-Yu, Director

Jennifer is the Account Manager at Classical KDFC Radio, in charge of underwriting sponsorship sales for the not-for-profit listener supported station owned by the University of Southern California. Prior to this, she has held Account Executive sales positions at Bonneville International, Entercom and Clear Channel (now iHeartMedia), representing Wild 94.9, 96.5 KOIT, 95.7 The Game, 102.9 KBLX, 98.5 KFOX, Q102 and many other popular Bay Area radio stations. Jennifer is the Co-President of the Vallecito Home & School Club and is in her 3rd year as the Vallecito Scholastic Book Fair Chairperson. She and her husband, Greg Yu, moved to Terra Linda in 2010 after living in San Francisco for 10 years. Their son Nicholas is in 3rd grade.


 Du Nguyen, Secretary

Du Nguyen and his wife Brooks have two children in the Miller Creek School District (4th and 6th grade). Du is the founder of a technology start-up that is focused on Augmented Reality and AI. Originally from Seattle, Du has lived in the Bay Area since 1997. He previously served on the board of Hands On Bay Area in San Francisco. Du has an Economics degree from the University of Washington.


 

Shital Patel, Director

Shital Patel was born and raised in Marin County and could not imagine living anywhere else. She has two daughters in 2nd and 5th at LVE. Shital graduated from UC Berkeley many years ago and maintains part time employment as a CPA for a real estate investment company.  She loves to volunteer at school and is very active in the Home and School Club. She has co-chaired our annual Book Fair for the past 3 years as well as served as co-chair of the LVE Diner in the past.

 


 Amy Branson-Sclafani, Director

​Amy Branson-Sclafani joined the Can Do!  board in 2016. She and her husband have one son, Luca, who is a 4th grader. They moved here in 2012 from New York and are very happy to have found such a wonderful school district and community. Prior to joining Can Do! she served on the board for two years at Oakview Nursery School. 


 Arlo Seaver, President

​Arlo joined the Can Do! board in 2019.  He manages a cattle ranch on Lucas Valley Road and he and his wife have lived in Marin for ten years.  Their son, Ben, started attending Lucas Valley Elementary in 2018 which prompted Arlo's interest in being actively involved with the school district.   He currently serves on the Lucas Valley Elementary Site Council, the Home and School Club, and as a coach for the youth basketball program at the Marin YMCA.
